Why Microsoft is its own worst enemy

Technology is always improving in the area of computers and related technology, but probably at too fast of a rate.  Microsoft is trying way too hard to remain at the top of the industry and therefore has flopped with the  introduction of products since the release of Windows XP and Vista.  There was a lot of confusion and dislike for the operating system Vista which replaced Windows XP, but it seemed to turn out to be decent in comparison of the former system it replaced.  It seems in next to no time and at a neck-breaking speed of light that Windows 7 & and now Windows 8 have been released into the market and does not appear to be able to live up to the two prior released products (Windows XP and Vista) which were probably Microsoft's best 2 operating systems.
